Mekano was founded to bring a clear, honest, and human approach to recruitment.
The name Mekano is inspired by “kano,” the te reo Māori word for seed - a nod to our belief that every great hire is the start of something bigger. It's about growth: for people, for teams, and for the projects shaping Aotearoa.
We work with the people who shape the built world, from construction leaders on site to the engineers designing what’s next. We partner with contractors and engineering consultancies across New Zealand, recruiting for roles in project delivery, commercial, health and safety, and design management, as well as technical positions in water, transport, civil, and structural engineering.
We know what good looks like on both sides of the table, and we really take the time to understand what matters to you. Less pitch. More partnership.
